Because I know where this one is headed.

It's a zero value trade from one of the jeep dealers up the road, who usually send such things up to the yard where I was happening by on other business.

After this yard there are only two places this will end up. At a wrecker. Or sold to general scrap.

I left a note offering a cash purchase for scrap value. It would be nice to have one of these for the winter.

You're going to have to offer more than scrap value. For the same money as he gets dealing with his usual guy, it's not worth the effort to do something different. For a couple hundred more tho...

Looks like someone's at the dealer either doesn't appreciate it or hopes someone will steal it because their boss is an idiot. It's unlocked with keys in the ignition.
